This linear servo in the dimensions 26mm x 22.5mm x 10.8mm is mainly intended for installation in electric locomotives to make pantographs subsequently raised and lowered. The mechanism enables a very quiet, quiet run and avoids the noise development more commercially available
Servos. The servo travel is approx.4.5mm.
As is usual with ESU servos, the electronics have been optimized for use in model railroad layouts: the "switch-on twitching" was eliminated as well as the "hum" under load.
The servo can either be controlled with LokSound 5 or LokPilot 5 decoders (both decoders generate the necessary control impulse) or alternatively, at your own discretion, on a model railroad layout used to switch turnouts or gates. In this case we recommend the SwitchPilot servo for control.
