Euro Rail Hobbies is my go-to store for Dutch model rail equipment. Their prices are extremely competitive, shipping is hassle-free, and service is outstanding. I've tried the other ones (in FL and IL) and even a bead store that had a small selection on the side, but Euro Rail Hobbies is now my one and only choice (unless I'm physically in The Netherlands). According to my records, I've been a customer of Euro Rail Hobbies for more than a decade. It was Walter who introduced me to Maerklin Digital back in 2002 when I bought the handsome Bavarian mallet BR 96 in ochre livery. Other locomotives were to follow; Viessmann catenary, building kits, trackage, electronics--and, gratefully, spare parts! Walter and his splendid crew can supply all the trains and accessories a model railroader could want. Like many in the hobby, I roam about websites, and have had other sources before I discovered EuroRail Hobbies, but for me ERH is the very best in service, in giving advice--and in price, even with the international transaction fee the banks tack on. The website is superb, and I visit it regularly. What it comes down to is trust--Walter Menzel, family and crew, are merchants and human beings you can trust.

Fantastic Site Look no where else. You are wasting time researching the internet. I am speechless on this site. I had analog 1978 Marklin set in India that I moved over to the USA last year. Although it was functioning I had worn out tires, needed oil, needed a transformer to run on 120 V, bulbs, and Walter helped me with that. That made my aging parents estatic that the old system was running again smooth. I then ordered a new digital set earlier this year and have more stuff on its way. I love the packaging it comes in. My kids are telling me all my retirement money is going to Walter !!!! Thank you for an amazing site and don't ever go out of business or sell your business to someone else.

For many years I have ordered from Walter and Jan and never had an issue with packing and delivery. All the items ordered that where present at the store, where shipped within days. Some back ordered items took a long time due to factory delays. That is not ERH's fault. I have been very pleased with ERH customer relations. They also research technical issues when needed and contact the factories directly when necessary. Great people for a great hobby.
