The 40 milestones, printed on both sides, are copied from originals primarily used on western German railroad lines. Originally the stones were spaced every kilometer. When spaced every 100 meters, they are known as hectometer stones. The contents of the package (from km 27,0 through 30.9) would cover 3.9 km of an original railroad.
