Matt olive green painted Robur, equipped as an ambulance. The Robur Sankra was designed for the transport of six lying and four sitting or four lying and eight sitting patients. Particularly popular with the armed forces was the high off-road mobility of the Robur, which made it possible to rescue wounded even in areas that were difficult to access. The model was integrated into the GDR border troops. The border troops were subordinate to the Ministry of National Defence (MfNV) and were an independent, military formation of the armed organs of the GDR to ensure territorial integrity. Their area of responsibility was to monitor the land and sea state border of the GDR.
