"The corks are popping! The civil relief and security service was founded in 1950 as a federal office under the patronage of the Ministry of the Interior. The THW consists of full-time employees and well over 40 times as many volunteers - including many women!! The "Blue Helpers" have already been indispensable rescuers in times of need in many operations, such as the storm surge near Hamburg, the mining accident in Lengede, the flood of the century on the Oder and Elbe, the terrible flood disaster in the Ahr Valley, etc. But the THW is also a reliable organisation for foreign missions in earthquake areas and for aid in war zones. The THW is even on site at football matches or other major events and supports with logistics, food and (emergency) power supply. Chapeau!!!
The model is a Hamburg emergency vehicle with eye-catching front lettering of three individual THW bush sticks on the grille of the Hanomag."
