Command vehicle (ELW) of the North Rhine-Westphalian fire brigade in Dortmund. According to the
press office there speak a whole series of arguments in favor of the Vito. As pluses will be
called:
- Sufficiently dimensioned to guide deployment sites with a fire engine or a special unit
- compact dimensions
- very agile and manoeuvrable
- good clarity
- low purchase price, especially as an all-wheel drive (compared to the Sprinter)
- low fuel consumption
- cheaper to maintain than a Sprinter
And so it is not surprising that the Dortmund-based company had already procured eleven command vehicles (ELW) 1 based on a Mercedes Vito for the C service in 2020.
