"Small but mighty! The car manufacturer Land Rover has been producing the vehicle of the same name since 1948, whose original development (1947) initially benefited exclusively civilian use in agriculture. The first three model series were only given the simple designation Series I, II and III. Only the fourth series (from 1983) was propagated under the designation One Ten (110 inch wheelbase) or Ninety (90). Typical for Land Rover are the numbers in the model names, they provide information about the wheelbases (90, 110, 130 inches) of the vehicles, even if there is a slight deviation in favor of rounded numbers. The correct designation should actually be 93, since the wheelbase measures 93 inches (for example, 127 inches for the 130). The small Defender retained the designation "Ninety" until it was renamed in September 1990.
After the introduction of the "Discovery" series in 1990, differentiation became necessary and the Land Rover models were given the designation "Defender". Another new feature is that for the first time in 35 years, the rigid axles are suspended from coil springs instead of leaf springs. The windshield, which had previously been divided into two parts, is also replaced by a continuous windshield and the fenders are widened from plastic. The vehicle, originally developed for civilian use, was often used on rough expeditions thanks to its robustness, so it is no wonder that the Defender can still be found in many crisis areas today. Various aid organizations and also the military have become indispensable without the reliable vehicle. Especially in private areas, the robust Land Rover is highly valued as an off-road vehicle.
The Busch model is the Defender 90 County Station Wagon (CSW), which from now on drives over hill and dale as a small powerhouse in impassable H0 model landscapes. Sharp contours and detailed features turn the coarse angular block into a real gem. The characteristic seating arrangement of the interior is also reproduced true to the prototype, as is the differently coloured roof. The front view of the model is dominated by the large black radiator grille, in which bright transparent headlights in a clear glass look and the finest transparent indicators are used. The coarsely treaded tyres and type-appropriate rims perfect the striking appearance. With this model, the Busch off-road vehicle collection receives another highlight of off-road vehicles with cult status."
