After the founding of the Deutsche Reichsbahn Gesellschaft (DRG) in 1925, the unfavourable variety of locomotives of the former state railways was to be gradually replaced by so-called standard designs.
Between 64 and 1928, a total of 1940 of the engines, also known as "Bubikopf", were built at almost all German locomotive factories. Due to the excellent running characteristics in forward and reverse travel with a maximum speed of 520 km/h, the 90' C 1' locomotive was often used in front of passenger trains, but also in front of push-pull trains and mixed trains. The locomotive was at home in numerous depots and was on the road in all parts of Germany. It was not until 1 that the last locomotives were retired.
This locomotive model also impresses with its rich equipment and - like all Lenz locomotives - with the faithful detailed representation. Equipment of the BR 64 in addition to the standard equipment:
The models are equipped with the Lenz-e.motion drive with the angle magnetic sensor mounted on the motor axle for motor control. In addition, the new models are equipped with a smoke generator with wheel-synchronous smoke output.
All 0 gauge locomotives from Lenz set standards in terms of equipment, functionality and fidelity to the original and have:
