Translated Description from PIKO: Novelty 2020 - Finally there is a contemporary replacement for the very popular and previously widespread BR 78 in the form of a new design from PIKO and with it the first steam locomotive in the Expert product line. The model still hangs somewhat from the established standard of the Expert range. Almost all the pipes were free-standing, the cab, water boxes and smoke chamber adorn the finest replicas of the rivet heads. Wheelset stars and controls could be made extremely delicate due to the materials used. The five-pole PIKO motor with flywheel ensures excellent driving characteristics. Additional weights in the bowl and two traction tires ensure high traction. A PIKO SmartDecoder 4.1 with mfx capability is installed ex works. A speaker and smoke generator can also be retrofitted with minimal effort. The directional lighting with LED design ensures an authentic mood. Brake hoses for retrofitting are included.
