Novelty 2025: The DR class 118 in FDJ design in Era IV. The model is factory-equipped with a PSD XP sound decoder with a large loudspeaker. The model bears the “”fits mfx®“” quality mark. A new “fits mfx®” quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital control centers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test. These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the “fits mfx®” quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the “fits mfx®” logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
