The DR-East listed the cars which they took over from 1952 onwards under the register numbers 61(R) and 63 (Ro). It is not possible to state exact numbers of vehicles here either as all possible types were again included in both register numbers. In 1952 a total of 3200 R-cars and 2100 Ro-cars (without stakes) were counted. Over the years, the ratio probably shifted in favour of cars without stakes. There were no major conversions apart from equipping with stake baskets. In the mid-1970s, the last DR-cars were retired as Rw and Row.
