"The East German company Multicar has a tradition of several decades in vehicle construction and was privatized early on after German reunification. The Multicar 26 was presented at the IAA Commercial Vehicles in Hanover in 1992. It is based on the Multicar 25, which was built over 100,000 times in 1991. The redesigned cab features a windscreen that is pulled far down, which now has two windshield wipers. The sound-absorbing interior trim and the multi-adjustable suspension seat also provide more comfort in the interior. Hydraulic systems are designed for three-way, dump and rear tippers or take care of the operation of front and body equipment. The VW four-stroke four-cylinder diesel engine has 1896 cc and reaches a top speed of 80km/h at 40kW (54.4 hp). The Multicar can be converted to 100 powerful pre-loaders and attachments and is therefore very flexible in its range of applications.
The Busch model is 87 times the size of this prototype. The front area of the model allows a view through the large windshield into the interior of the vehicle: Here, the high, separate driver's seats and the detailed interior immediately catch the eye. Super filigree windshield wiper pairs are attached to the outer window as separate parts. Background chrome-plated headlights reflect the realistic clear glass look. The taillights of the model are so cleverly placed that light can penetrate through them, which creates a certain reflection effect."
