"Trilogy! One model, three times different. The popular Ducato van has been manufactured by Fiat and Groupe PSA (Peugeot Société Anonyme) since 1982 in the Sevel Sud joint venture (Società Europea Veicoli Leggeri Sevel S.p.A. / European Society for Light Commercial Vehicles). Both cooperation partners merged to form Stellantis (brands such as: Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, RAM, Abarth, Citroën, Fiat, Opel/Vauxhall and Peugeot), which have been built there ever since. The identical transport vehicles Ducato, Citroën and Peugeot differ mainly in the engines used. The first generation of the Ducato I was often used as a basis for motorhomes. Therefore, it and its sister models were each available with individual cabins. The second generation of the Ducato as well as the Citroën Jumper and Peugeot Boxer were even chosen as Van of the Year in 1994. The models received
another facelift in 2011, with only very minor changes to the body, the main changes taking place with more powerful and more fuel-efficient engines. Modified interior elements such as a new dashboard, two-tone seat covers, new side panels as well as new controls for the air conditioning, radio and holder for navigation system were only noticeable on closer inspection. It was not until the 2014 facelift that all models received an extensive visual and technical revision. The following models show the new design very nicely and shine with sharp contours."
