HO Scale Trucks Buses and Misc Vehicles

On 17.7.1965, the first W50 truck rolled off the production line in Ludwigsfelde. In 2025, 60 years of the W50 will therefore be celebrated. And since this truck is the absolute favourite in the Espewe range, this anniversary will be celebrated with two special models as special anniversary versions. Both the 25,000th W50 delivered to the USSR and the 350,000th W50 that rolled off the production line in total will be specially decorated as model versions. In addition, there will also be further versions of the very popular fertiliser spreader body, which celebrated its model premiere last year, on the chassis of the W50 and L60 and will complement existing series, such as the LPG Roter Oktober (Red October). The basic type of a large range of commercial vehicles in the 5t payload class from Ludwigsfelde was the W50L flatbed vehicle. Built since 1965 and continuously developed, the 2-axle cab-over-engine engine has proven itself with domestic and foreign customers. Vehicles with extended cabs were used on tours where additional accompanying personnel, e.g. for loading activities, were necessary. The 4-seater haulage cab was also suitable for driver training. Equipped with a second steering wheel for the driving instructor, there was additional space for additional learner drivers or the driving examiner. For the transport of fuels such as coal, several workers were helpful, who could quickly unload the ordered goods on site. Therefore, the forwarding driver's cab is also suitable for such a vehicle of the coal trade.
