Prototype: "Black Ice" steam locomotive with a tender, based on the stage background of the AC/DC Black Ice World Tour 2008 - 2010.
Model: The locomotive has a digital decoder and extensive light and sound functions. It also has controlled, high-efficiency propulsion with a flywheel, mounted in the boiler. Three axles powered. Traction tires. The locomotive and tender are constructed mostly of metal. There is a factory-installed smoke unit with speed-dependent, dynamic smoke exhaust, digitally controlled. The headlight on the front of the locomotive in the center of the smoke box door and a lamp on the back of the tender will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. The lighting on the front headlight can be changed to red. The AC/DC typical devil horns are lighted and can be turned on digitally. The cab lighting and firebox lighting can be controlled digitally. The lighting for the tender corridor can be controlled digitally. Maintenance-free, warm white and red LEDs are used for the lighting. There is an adjustable close coupling between the locomotive and tender. There is an NEM pocket on the tender with a close coupler with a guide mechanism. The buffer height on the locomotive and tender conform to the NEM. Brake hoses, prototype couplers, and closed cylinder covers are included. Length over the buffers approximately 24.5 cm / 9-5/8".
The Märklin articles 46270, 46930 and 48837 can be used to supplement the locomotive. Replacement of wheelsets to DC wheelsets required.
