Köf II shunting locomotive - the prototype:

The Köf II series was developed as a low-mass, low-power locomotive for light shunting service and was used at small stations from 1932. Köf stands for a small locomotive with an oil engine (oil in this case = diesel) and liquid transmission. The prototype of our Köf 4151 was delivered by Jung to the DRG as Kb 4151 (b for benzene engine) in 1934 and renamed Kg 4151 in 1940 after conversion to generator gas operation. The Köf 4151 was converted in 1960 to a Deutz engine with hydrodynamic transmission. 1967 came the equipment with air brakes. Sometime in 1968 or later it was renumbered 321 018-4. Eleven years later, the Köf was retired. The whereabouts are unknown.
