We have now posted the Fleischmann 2003 Summer new items announcements. Both HO and N scale released feature the DB era IV 'POP' train showcasing passenger coaches in colorful liveries and a Class 103 electric locomotive. The HO locomotive features a Loksound decoder with full sound effects. Also available in both HO and N is a new style four-axle flat car with stakes.

The 'POP' train colors were an experimental color scheme used by the DB between 1970 and 1974 to replace the drab single color liveries of the time with a friendlier and more colorful paint scheme. In 1974 the DB decided to focus on the ocean blue/off-white color scheme and the era of the POP coaches came to an end.
