Marklin/Trix Insider Club Model # 2 - DB V200 002 Diesel Locomotive

Marklin/Trix have just announced their 2nd Insider Club Model, the iconic pre-production V 200 002 Diesel Locomotive. Five preproduction units rolled out on to the DB starting in 1953 and immediately attracted a great deal of attention.  Their brawny, yet elegant design signalled a breakthrough of a new age in railroading: away from the sooty steam locomotives to the modern super power diesel locomotives. Soon, these V 200 Diesels could be seen all over Germany pulling elegant, first-class long-distance express trains.

As with all Insider Club Models, this locomotive is completely new tooling. Of course, to re-create this atmosphere of the early fifties, Marklin/Trix have paired the V 200 with the "F Express Train Senator", reminding people of a time when the in the German Federal Republic stood paired as a symbol for punctuality, style and comfort.
