With the newly designed PIKO BR 83.10 of the DR, there is now for the first time an operational large-scale model of this extraordinary locomotive type. According to the special feature of the model, the finely detailed PIKO model may also present itself as an outstanding locomotive. The striking locomotive in three-dome design with three-light peak signal convinces by the excellently successful implementation of the prototype proportions and comes up with a variety of specially attached parts, including many fine pipes, wind deflectors, bell, pipe, lid on the water boxes, alternator, appearances to the buffer screed, ladders, hand rods, heating cables and sand pipes. The fine spoke wheels, the filigree control and the detailed driver's cab interior make the locomotive an eye-catcher on the system. The PIKO BR 83.10 is also technically up to date and has cab lighting, chassis lighting, LED peak signal and the possibility of equipping the locomotive with a smoke set. The powerful engine in combination with 2 built-in adhesive tires ensures sufficient tractive forces for all exemplary train composition. The installation of a digital decoder as well as the retrofitting with sound is possible without any problems. The center conductor versions of the model are factory equipped with mfx®-capable digital decoders. In addition, the sound locomotives already have a smoke set at the factory. Brake hoses, pull hooks and long protective tubes are enclosed with the model.
