In the years between 1910 and 1916, a total of 512 T 13s were built for the Prussian State Railways by various manufacturers. Due to the numerous losses after World War I, the DRG ordered a further 72 locomotives, and the Saarbahnen ordered 12. The Imperial Railways in Alsace-Lorraine also had 60 T 13s in their fleet. The Grand Ducal Oldenburg State Railways owned ten locomotives of this type. The T 13 was added to the numbering system of the Deutsche Reichsbahn in 1925 as Class 92.5-10 with the running numbers 92 501-913 and 92 1001-1072.
