FlixMobility is a mobility provider and has been offering long-distance bus services under the FlixBus brand since 2013. Its specially founded subsidiary, Flixtrain, received a licence as a rail transport company in August 2017. Flixtrain's services focus on connections between urban centres and complement the long-distance bus network. The trains are operated using electric locomotives of class 182 (ES64U2), among others, which are leased. Locomotive 182 505 was the only one to operate in a completely green livery.
