This is a model of an EMD F7 B unit diesel locomotive painted and lettered for the American railroad Amtrak. The paint scheme and lettering are prototypical for Era IV. The model has a built-in speaker, which can be supplied with power from a 21580 or 21582 A unit using a cable included with this model.
Length over the couplers 60 cm / 23-5/8".
The A units to go with this locomotive are available under item numbers 21580 and 21582. A typical express train from Era IV – such as the famous "Sunset Limited" – can be made with the equally available new Amtrak cars.
