In 1981, the DBP procured ten Gos 245/ Gos-uv 245 covered goods wagons from the DB for postal transport in and around Berlin. All wagons were allocated to the OPD Hanover. Although these wagons were pure goods wagons, they were also given passenger coach numbers. Some of the wagons were in service until 1992.
