The increasing transport of powdery materials at the end of the 1950s, particularly cement, led to the need to purchase new silo wagons. The wagons, owned by cement and lime manufacturers, used to transport bulk materials and were then integrated into the ČSD vehicle fleet as P-wagons, i.e. private wagons.
