Prototype: Class M28 diesel switcher locomotive as a works loco at the Märklin factory in Györ, Hungary. Former switcher loco of the Hungarian State Railroad (MÁV). Chrome-oxide green basic paint scheme. Road number M28.1001. The loco looks as it did in era IV following its recent cosmetic overhaul.
Highlights
Model: The model is equipped with a 21-pin digital interface. It also has a controlled high-performance motor. Both axles are powered, one of them via the coupling rod. Traction tires are fitted. The triple headlights change ends with the direction of travel in analog operation. Maintenance-free, warm-white LEDs are used for the lighting. Grab irons and many other details are separately applied. The buffer height conforms to NEM specifications. Length over the buffers approximately 8.5 cm / 3-3/8.
