Equipment of all Lenz gauge 0 locomotives and traction vehicles
All Lenz gauge 0 locomotives set standards in terms of equipment, functionality and authenticity, and have unique options:
Rail bus - the model
He was called the savior of the branch line, red brummer or simply Uerdinger rail bus because most of the VT 98 were built in the Uerdinger wagon factory. They were powered by two 150 hp Büssing underfloor motors, the same motor as the Berlin double-decker buses. ZF Friedrichshafen AG contributed the six-speed transmission. The VT 98 railcars were also accompanied by the VB 98 trailer car (some with a packing compartment) and the VS 98 control car. The area of application was passenger train service on secondary lines, mostly in the VT + VB + VS combination. But also shorter twin units VT + VS and longer units with up to six cars were used.
At the end of the 80s, the VT 98 (or 798, as it was called from 1968) was gradually replaced by the 628 series, which in the meantime has more modern successors such as the Talent.
The models
We deliver the rail bus sets as three separate models, so everyone can put together their own favorite combination. In addition to the standard equipment, the models have :
Drive on both axles (railcar)
Decoder with USP and energy storage as well as numerous functions and sound already integrated (railcar)
Function decoder (control car, sidecar)
Our rail buses are available in epoch 3 versions (VT 98, VS 98, VB 98) and in epoch 4 versions as BR 798 / BR 998.
VT / VS / VB 98 - new editions
The motor vehicles receive the Lenz e.motion drive with the angle magnetic sensor mounted on the motor axle for motor control and appear for epochs 3 and 4
