Translated Description from PIKO: Novelty 2020 - The diesel-electric, four-axle bogie locomotives of the 2200 series of the Dutch State Railways (NS) marked the time of the traction change from steam to diesel locomotives in their years of procurement from 1955 to 1958. Together with the 2400 series, 280 units were put into service. With their one-sided end founders and long stems, the machines embody an American design. However, the NS machines were manufactured exclusively by Western European companies. The 100 km / h locomotives could not only be used in freight train and shunting service, but were also often used in front of passenger trains. Before heavy ore, up to four locomotives of the 900 hp machines were used in multiple traction. A PIKO SmartDecoder 4.1 with mfx capability is installed ex works, the locomotive is also prepared for simple retrofitting with sound and the largest possible loudspeaker.

We fully test & inspect every locomotive before it ships to you.
