Quite a number of "Halberstädter"coaches were made dispensable withinthe Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB) due tothe advancing renewal of the rollingstock and the introduction of new railcars.This gave the Hungarian State Railway(MÃV) the opportunity of acquiringa total of around 300 ABy and Byzcoaches from the DB in order to modernisetheir own rolling stock. Meanwhile,almost all of these coaches appear in agrey-blue paint coat adapted to the DBcolour scheme. The coaches are beingemployed by MÃV''s subsidiary MÃVSTART.
