BR 64 - the model
After the foundation of the Deutsche Reichsbahn Gesellschaft (DRG) in 1925, the variety of locomotives of the past regional railways, which was unfavorable in daily operation, was gradually to be replaced by so-called standard designs. One of the first in this typification plan was the class 64.
Between 1928 and 1940 a total of 520 of the machines, also known as "Bubikopf", were built at almost all German locomotive factories. Due to the excellent running properties in forward and reverse travel at 90 km / h top speed, the 1 'C 1' locomotive was often used in front of passenger trains, but also in front of reversing and mixed trains. The locomotive was at home in numerous depots and was on the road in all parts of Germany. The last locomotives were not taken out of service until 1974.
BR 64 - the models
Like all Lenz 0 gauge locomotives, the various 64 series impress with their extensive equipment and the detailed representation true to the original. In addition to the standard equipment :
Decoder with USP and energy storage as well as numerous functions and sound already integrated.
Two Era 3 models come from the DB version with different car numbers, one with riveted and one with welded water tanks. The DR model also comes in Era 3. As edition models, we offer the DB epoch 4 version and the DRG variant epoch 2.
BR 64 - new editions
The models receive the Lenz e.motion drive with the angle magnetic sensor mounted on the motor axis for motor control. You can also choose between the basic model without sound and smoke generator and the complete model including sound and wheel-synchronized smoke.
